Time to start moving with time

Have you ever seen the sea at say around 1:00am in a moonlit night? That was what we saw down at Kalutara on a family trip during the vacation. It was really a stunning sight that I’m sure to save in my heart for a long time to come. Still, tall coconut trees watching over you and the thought of spending the rest of your life staring into that beautiful ocean was enormously attractive.

The long awaited getaway gave us time to think about and sort out things of the home away from the home. It even almost came to a point of missing the norms and routines. Then all of a sudden before you knew it, it was Monday morning and we had to realize that duty calls and from then on it was a matter of suppressing the depression and getting on your feet and moving with time. Time rules!

The Negatives

Most people are most often de-motivated by more than at least one bothering factor. We

hear them say life is unfair. It is all ‘gives’ and no ‘takes’ and I must say I have to agree. Lots of negatives – one big hell hole with lots of idiots around – no doubts on that one. The thing is not much can be done about it no matter what anyone says. There is only so very little in our control that it is as good as not having anything at all. So are we to just throw our hands up and take orders and move on? All that talk about the 90/20 rule and all? Phew – its just good old plane theory. Everyone’s life is made harder by either some other individual or simply the environment. The sad truth is that you can’t really trust anyone other than your parents. Parents on the other hand cannot and may I say ‘should not’ trust there children.

That’s why, once in a while you get some “time”. Time to get away; to get out and find yourself… To find new reasons and meanings to what you do. There comes a point where your tired of being around with people that lack ideas and limit your thinking. There comes time to question. Whatever it is, its good to get away to think of nothing other than yourself for a change. To do what makes “you” happy and to stop worrying about the rest of the world. Pretend you have wings and fly. Even if it means having to give up things that were so much a part of your life because at sunset nothing matters more than “you”.

Because you can never have a “normal” life. You can never only have the things that make you happy. All you get is a few patches of time a few rare opportunities or moments to make the most of. So if you don’t take it, it could be just another sped arrow and just the usual tripping on with no real goal or purpose. Come what may and go wherever.

“Which way do I take?”

“That would depend a lot on where you want to go”

“Well, I don’t know”

“Then it does not really matter which way you take!”

does anyone recall that?
