The Lie

Death and life walk side by side

Looking for a secure place to reside

A weak old man, a new born child

What they desire therein they find

They then quietly settle to hide

Herewith ending their search and stride

The weak old man and the new born child

Ahead of them, a painful rough ride

Life tortures to its satisfaction

Death quenches its thirst

They dwell therein until they’ve done their best

Until they’ve had there share… taken every bit

They come without a cause

And leave without a trace

They come like the enemy

And hide behind a face

Then off they go, to find another soul

To wake another land, to cause more harm

To give to and to take from

To fall and to rise

A soul that never chose to live

A life that never chose to die

Matter and antimatter together

Creating a worthless tormenting lie

Wonderful memories, promise did life

Too far to see; hiding was death

But they both came

And conquered and left

Now, here is only a teasing lie

No good, no wonders, no heavenly spirits

Bliss and promises dissolve into thin air

To come to rescue, nobody there

Right from the start, up until now

It was only falsehood in disguise

Nobody knows why, nobody knows how

It was all nothing but a pile of lies!
